Tacky Sweater 5K Run/Walk - Greenville
The Tacky Sweater 5K is a seasonal run and walk held on December 19, 2026, at Lakewood Nature Preserve, 220 Lakewood Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. The event uses a grass cross-country style course consisting of two loops of 1.5 miles each, described as wide, rolling, and containing some short hills.
The event includes a judged Tacky Sweater Contest with cash prizes of $50, $25, and $10 for first through third place, with both team and solo categories; spectator votes contribute to the People’s Choice. Race amenities include chip timing with live results, a race bib, a finisher medal, a custom race tattoo, event-themed giveaways, and race stickers. Top three overall male and female finishers receive trophies. Age group awards are given for first through third in 15 age categories.
Parking at 220 Lakewood Drive is included with registration and is located adjacent to the finish area. There are four portable toilets on site. Water is available at the finish; there is no water on course and the event is cup-less, so personal hydration vessels are recommended. Post-race snacks are provided.
