T-Mac's 5K Run/Walk

The 4th annual Tyler McKenzie (TMAC) Memorial Fund charity event takes place at Baldwin Harbor Park in Baldwin, New York. This event serves as a fundraiser to support kidney cancer research, patient advocacy, and various scholarships. Participants are encouraged to wear orange to show solidarity for kidney cancer awareness.

The event features multiple participation options:

• 5K Run/Walk: A timed course consisting of two loops through the park.
• 1.5 Mile Walk: A timed course consisting of a single loop.
• Virtual 5K: A flexible option allowing participants to record their times at any location between April 18 and April 26.

All participants receive a finisher's medal and a commemorative bib. Registration completed at least three weeks in advance includes a personalized bib with the participant's name. T-shirts are provided to the first 200 registrants. Amenities at the park include restrooms located behind the tennis courts and post-race refreshments. There is no formal bag check, and participants are responsible for their own belongings.

Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, the top cancer survivor, and the top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 12 and under to 80 and over. Proceeds from the race benefit the American Cancer Society and youth basketball scholarships through the Play It Forward Team Challenge.
