T-Mac's 5K Run/Walk : event overview
T-Mac's 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for April at Baldwin Harbor Park in Baldwin, New York. The event offers both a timed 5K route and a shorter recreational walk. The course layout is loop-based and uses the finish area to record splits and finish times.
- 5K Run/Walk: two loops, finish line crossed twice for accurate splits
- 1.5 Mile Walk: one loop, finish time and free photos
Amenities listed for participants include a commemorative bib, a finisher's medal for all participants, after-race refreshments, and a limited event t-shirt for the first 200 registrants. Bathrooms are located in the Baldwin Park building behind the tennis courts. There is no formal bag check; participants are responsible for their own belongings. Parking is available near the tennis courts.
Awards will be given for top overall male and female, top cancer survivor, and top three in multiple age-group categories for both men and women. Proceeds support kidney cancer research, cancer patient advocacy, and scholarships, with the American Cancer Society named as the event's signature beneficiary.
