T-Mac's 5K Run/Walk 2027
T-Mac's 5K Run/Walk is scheduled as a community road event in Baldwin at Baldwin Harbor Park, 3219 Grand Ave, Baldwin, NY. The event combines a timed 5K run with a memorial walk component and offers a shorter recreational route.
Distances:
- 5K Run and Memorial Walk - two loops to complete
- 1.5 Mile Walk - one loop to complete
The course uses a loop format where 5K participants pass through the finish area twice for accurate splits, finish times, and complimentary finish-line photos. Bathrooms are located in the Baldwin Park Building behind the tennis courts. Parking is available by the tennis courts; the Grand Avenue entrance may close before the event.
Amenities listed for participants include a commemorative bib, finisher medal for all participants, after-race refreshments, and a T‑shirt for the first 200 registrants. There is no formal bag check; participants are responsible for their own belongings.
Awards are given for top overall male and female, top cancer survivor, and top three in multiple age groups for both genders, including age categories from 12 and under up to 80 and over.
Proceeds support kidney cancer research, cancer patient advocacy, and scholarships, with the American Cancer Society named as the signature beneficiary.
