Sri Chinmoy Thanksgiving Day 5K, 10K & Kids Race
The Sri Chinmoy Thanksgiving Day event is held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York and features a USATF certified loop course that passes the Unisphere, Fountain of the Planets, Queens Zoo, New York State Pavilion and the Queens Museum of Art. The certified 5K course is used for both distances: the 5 km race is one loop and the 10 km race is two loops. USATF certification numbers are NY16032JG and NY16033JG.

Race amenities include free parking, bag check at Race-Day Central (large bags not accommodated), aid stations approximately every mile, medals for all finishers, free race photos, and a post-race pancake breakfast. The race giveaway is a pair of Sri Chinmoy Races micro fleece running gloves; sizes are unisex S through XL. Packet shipping is available for US addresses for an additional fee of $7.45 and packets will ship in mid-November; packet pickup is available at the race site for those who do not choose shipping.
Awards are given by men’s and women’s age categories for both distances, with medals for all finishers. Time limits are one hour for the 5K and one hour 30 minutes for the 10K. If the event must be canceled for reasons beyond organizer control, it may be converted to a virtual race with giveaways and medals mailed to participants.
