Swinner Swagger
The Swinner Swagger is a trail running event based at the Usha Gap Campsite in Muker. The event follows a 16 kilometre (10 mile) loop that represents the second half of the longer DR30 course. Participants must be at least 16 years old to enter.
The route takes runners on a loop through Hartlakes to Keld, featuring an ascent of Swinner Gill. After the climb, the course includes a long descent toward Gunnerside before following the River Swale back to the finish line. The terrain consists of a variety of surfaces, including grassy paths, shooters tracks, and short sections of road. While trail shoes are recommended, the course is manageable in road shoes under dry conditions.
The event provides several amenities for participants. There are fully stocked aid stations along the route with vegan and gluten-free dietary options available. Upon completing the course, finishers are provided with a hot meal and drinks. Car parking and registration facilities are available on-site at the venue.
