Swinner Swagger

The Swinner Swagger is a trail running event based at the Usha Gap Campsite in Muker. The course follows a 16 kilometre (10 mile) loop that represents the second half of the DR30 route. Participants travel through Hartlakes to Keld and ascend Swinner Gill before beginning a long descent toward Gunnerside. The final section of the course follows the river Swale back to the finish line.

The terrain is composed of grassy paths, shooters tracks, and brief road sections. Organizers suggest trail shoes for the route, though road shoes may be functional depending on weather conditions. The event provides a GPX file and map for navigation.

The event includes the following distances:

  • 16 km (10 miles)

The race environment includes fully stocked aid stations offering vegan and gluten-free food options. Upon completing the course, participants receive a hot meal and drinks. On-site facilities include car parking, which opens alongside registration. This event is open to participants aged 16 and older, with entry fees tiered for members of UKA and non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
