DalesRunner 30
The DalesRunner 30 is a circular trail running race covering a distance of 30 km. The course starts and finishes at the Usha Gap Campsite in Muker, taking participants through the diverse landscapes of Swaledale. The route is fully marked and includes a total ascent of almost 3,000 feet.
The course utilizes a variety of terrain types, including grassy trods, slabbed sections, hard-packed footpaths, shooters tracks, and short road sections. Runners follow the Coast to Coast path to the hamlet of Ravenseat before crossing remote moorland to reach the Tan Hill Inn. The return journey incorporates a section of the Pennine Way and an ascent of Swinner Gill. The final segment follows moorland tracks and passes through the flower meadows of Muker.
