DalesRunner 30

The DalesRunner 30 is a circular, fully marked trail race of approximately 31.7 km (19.7 miles) with almost 3,000 ft of ascent. Race HQ is at Usha Gap Campsite near Muker. The route follows the Hartlakes valley to Kisdon Force, joins the Coast to Coast path to Ravenseat, then crosses remote moorland to reach the Tan Hill Inn where an aid station is located. The return follows a section of the Pennine Way, passes Crackpot Hall, climbs Swinner Gill and descends along Gunnerside Gill before finishing through the meadowland around Muker. Surfaces include grassy trods, slabbed sections, hard packed footpath, shooters track and a few short road sections. The course is marked with orange barrier tape, pin flags and coloured arrow signs, and critical turns and road crossings are manned by marshals.

Event facilities include car parking adjacent to the campsite, portable toilets at the carpark and multiple aid stations stocked with water, Active Root, sweet and savoury food and a small supply of electrolyte drinks. No single use plastic cups are provided at aid stations so runners should bring a soft flask or collapsible cup. Finishers receive a hot drink, vegetable soup and a roll. GPX and PDF route files are available. Mandatory kit is required and spot checks may be performed; failure to carry mandatory kit may result in disqualification. The event has an age limit of 18 or older and an entrant limit of 200. Generous cutoffs and provisions for vegan and gluten free options are listed for aid stations.
