Event overview
The Blacksheep 3 and 6 Hour Challenge is a looped trail running event held in Masham, near Silver Street, Ripon, HG4 4DY, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Dales. Entrants run as many laps as they wish within a timed window - options include a three hour or six hour challenge. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-race food options including a sausage sandwich with alcohol-free and vegetarian options. The event is organised by Its Grim Up North Running and is licensed by the Trail Running Association.
Course and logistics
The course is mainly off road with some road sections, stiles and gates, and one steady climb; it is described as undulating and varied. Feed and drink stations are provided roughly every three miles, usually at the start/finish area, and the course is marshalled and signed though some road crossings may be unmarshalled. GPX route files are available for download. Toilets are available at the town market square.
