Blacksheep 3 and 6 Hour Challenge

Set on the edge of the North Yorkshire Dales near Masham (Silver Street, HG4 4DY), this looped time-trial event offers two options: a six hour challenge and a three hour challenge. Runners complete as many loops as they choose within their selected time window and ring a bell when they finish.

The course mixes trail and road sections and includes stiles. Elevation is described as flat(ish) with one steady climb. The route is marshalled and signed, and the organiser provides downloadable GPX files. Feed and drink stations are placed about every three miles; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle because the event aims to be cup-less.

Facilities and finishers' items: toilets are available at the town market square. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and assorted treats, and the event notes a beer and a sausage sandwich with alcohol-free and vegetarian options. The races are licensed by the Trail Running Association.

Practical notes from the organiser: there may be unmarshalled road crossings, and large over ear headphones are banned; bone conduction or single ear pieces are recommended if earphones are needed. Parking is available on the field near the start area with a £5 parking fee collected for local charitable causes. Registration location is given as What3words ///shot.invoices.beefed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
