Swift Foot Trail Runs
The Swift Foot Trail Runs take place in the Scratchgravel Hills, situated northwest of Helena, Montana. This event is the only trail running competition held within these specific hills. Participants navigate a varied terrain consisting of technical rocky trails, smooth single track sections, and old jeep roads. Because of the sun exposure in this area, the trails typically offer early spring access.
The event offers several distance options to suit different preferences:
- 50K
- 25K
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Kids Race (also referred to as a 2K Kids Race)
The races begin at the Echo Lane Trailhead on Echo Lane. There is no event parking available at the trailhead itself. Instead, participants must park at a designated shuttle location and use the provided shuttle service to reach the starting area. The course provides runners with expansive views of the surrounding Montana landscape within the Scratchgravel Hills. Registration for this event closes on the Sunday prior to the race date.
