Frosty 5K - Helena
The Frosty 5K takes place in Helena on Dec. 12, starting and finishing at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana building at 3645 Alice Street. The course runs through the Mountain View Meadows community and was changed to a single-loop layout to provide more room for participants. The event offers both an in person race and a virtual option. Registration is $25 and the in person field is capped at 600 entrants.
All registered participants receive a commemorative race beanie, finisher medal, and race bib. The beanie design will be released later in the fall. Chip timing is provided by Competitive Timing. On course and finish-area provisions include water at the finish line and hot chocolate. Holiday music will be played and participants are encouraged to wear festive attire. Wreaths will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.
Gear pickup is scheduled on specific dates at Ten Mile Creek Brewery and at the BCBSMT building, and out-of-town virtual race registrations will have swag mailed the week of Dec. 7. All registration dollars support the Caring Foundation of Montana, which helps provide vaccines, oral and vision screenings, sports physicals, and other health screenings.
