Frosty 5K : Helena
The Frosty 5K is a 5K running event on Dec. 12 in Helena, Montana. The course starts and finishes at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana building at 3645 Alice Street and passes through the Mountain View Meadows community. The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual option.
Registration is priced at $25 and the in-person field is limited to 600 participants. All registration dollars support the Caring Foundation of Montana, which provides preventive health services such as vaccines, oral and vision screenings, sports physicals, and other health screenings.
Race entries include a commemorative beanie, finisher medal, and race bib; the beanie design will be released later this fall. Chip timing will be provided by Competitive Timing. At the in-person finish area there will be hot chocolate and water, and holiday music will be played. Runners are encouraged to wear festive attire; wreaths will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
Race gear pickup is planned on several dates and locations in the week leading up to the event, including Ten Mile Creek Brewery and the BCBSMT building. Out-of-town virtual registrations will have their race swag mailed the week of Dec. 7. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
