Event Details
The SVDP Church of Our Saviour FOP 5K Run/Walk is the third annual running of this event. It is part of the nationwide Friends of the Poor Walk program organized by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The event raises awareness and funds for the local Conference of Our Saviour's in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
The Course
The race is a 5K out-and-back course. It starts and finishes at the church parking lot, heading onto Banana River Drive and through nearby residential neighborhoods. The route is open to both runners and walkers.
Registration & Fees
Registration for the in-person event is $28. A reduced fee of $15 is available for youth participants from pre-kindergarten age through 17 years old. A separate virtual 5K option is also available for those who cannot attend in person. The standard registration price increases after August 26, 2026.
On-Site Logistics
The event takes place at Our Saviour Catholic Church, located at 5301 North Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach. Parking is available at the church. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash. Post-race refreshments will be provided for participants.
Awards & Timing
All participants will be chip-timed. Awards will be presented in several categories, including overall, masters, and grand masters for men and women. Special youth awards will be given to the top three males and females in the 12-and-under and 13-18 age groups.
Additional Activities
A free kids dash will be held after the main 5K is completed.
Packet Pickup
Participants can collect their race packets at the church in the Angel Room on September 19 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on September 25 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Packet pickup is also available on race day at the event site, starting at 6:45 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
