Turtle Krawl 5K
The Turtle Krawl 5K is an annual road race held in Indialantic, Florida. The event raises funds for the Sea Turtle Preservation Society (STPS), which has protected sea turtles and their habitat in Brevard County for more than 35 years. Proceeds support STPS education and conservation programs and their mission to help sea turtles survive.
Past race fundraising has supported Brevard Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center, STPS rescue and transport of injured sea turtles, nesting surveys, night walks, and other educational outreach programs. Funds have also helped purchase satellite transmitters for the UCF marine turtle research program.
The 2026 edition takes place on September 12 at James H. Nance Park, Indialantic, FL 32903. Race services include electronic race timing with net times and course management provided by Running Zone. The event supplies sublimated original t-shirts featuring artwork by a local artist to the first 2000 registrants, and finisher medals for the first 2000 registrants. Age group winners receive sea turtle medals, three places deep. A free Kid's Fun Dash with prizes follows the 5K, and free refreshments are provided after the race.
