Sussex Montessori School Bunny Hop 5k and Fun Run
The event takes place on April 4, 2026 at Sussex Montessori School, Dairy Lane, Seaford, DE. It includes a chip-timed 5K race and a shorter family-oriented Fun Run with an Easter egg hunt.
Distances:
- 5K, fast flat out-and-back finishing with a lap around campus
- Fun Run, half mile one-lap course with treat-filled Easter eggs
The 5K course passes local farmland and finishes with a scenic lap around the school campus. The Fun Run is designed for younger runners and families and features treat-filled eggs hidden along the route. Race-day amenities include a live appearance from the Easter Bunny, a professional photographer with photos available for purchase, an event t-shirt inspired by student artwork, a custom finisher medal for all 5K finishers inspired by student artwork, face painting, post-race snacks and hors d'oeuvres, and a raffle with local gift card prizes.
Awards include finisher medals for all participants, top overall male and female and top masters scored by gun time, and age-group awards scored by chip time for 9 & under through 70 & over. Top walkers will also receive awards.
A post-race Hoppy Hour is held off campus at two local beverage venues; wristband purchase is required and proceeds support the school. No dogs are allowed, bibs are non-transferable, and registrations are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
