Event overview
The Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon is a trail running event held on Saturday 20 June 2026. The 12th edition follows the Surf Coast Walk from Torquay to Fairhaven on Victoria’s Surf Coast, about an hour south west of Melbourne. The event offers individual and team options and includes on-course buses and event presentations at Fairhaven Surf Life Saving Club.
Course and distances
The route runs along coastal singletrack and beaches, passing Bells Beach, Point Addis, Anglesea and Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet. Distances offered:
- 42 km marathon (individual or teams of two, each runner covers roughly half)
- 21 km half marathon
- 8 km Urquharts Beach to Fairhaven singletrack
Entries and fees
Entry fees vary by distance and by registration period. Example price ranges listed:
- 42 km: AUD 140–210
- 21 km: AUD 90–155
- 8 km: AUD 55–90
The event requires agreement to a refund policy with refunds limited before a specified deadline; entries can be transferred to another runner.
