Event overview
The Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon is a trail running event taking place on Saturday 20 June 2026. The 12th edition follows the Surf Coast Walk from Torquay to Fairhaven on Victoria’s Surf Coast, about an hour south west of Melbourne. The route passes coastal locations including Bells Beach, Point Addis, Anglesea and Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet. The course is described as relatively non-technical, non-remote and non-mountainous. The event is organised by Tour de Trails.
Distances, entry and logistics
Distances offered:
- 42 km marathon, solo or teams of two (each covers roughly half)
- 21 km half marathon
- 8 km Urquhart’s Bluff Blast, Urquharts Beach to Fairhaven singletrack
Registration fees vary by distance and by timed entry periods. Some 8 km entries include a bus ticket. Organisers provide event buses connecting key locations such as Torquay, Point Addis and Fairhaven. Entries can be transferred to another runner. The refund policy states a full refund less a $30 administration fee is available up to a late-May deadline; after that deadline refunds and deferrals are not offered.
