Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon : 20 June 2026
The 12th edition of the Surf Coast Trail Marathon takes place on Saturday 20 June 2026. The route follows the Surf Coast Walk from Torquay to Fairhaven on Victoria’s Surf Coast, about an hour southwest of Melbourne.
Distances
- 42 km - marathon, available as a solo entry or as teams of two (each runner covers roughly half).
- 21 km - half marathon.
- 8 km - Urquhart’s Bluff Blast from Urquharts Beach to Fairhaven, a singletrack taster.
Course and event features
The course is described as relatively non-technical, non-remote and non-mountainous, with coastal viewpoints and clifftop sections. The route passes iconic coastal locations including Bells Beach, Point Addis, Anglesea and the Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet. Event presentations are scheduled at Fairhaven Surf Life Saving Club and a post-run event with music and food is held at the Airey’s Pub.
Logistics and entry
Buses operate between Fairhaven, Torquay and Point Addis on race day. Entry fees vary by distance and entry period; published ranges include approximately $140–$210 for the marathon, $90–$155 for the half marathon, $55–$90 for the 8 km, and $80–$125 per person for a two-person marathon team. Entries can be transferred to another runner. A refund policy applies with refunds available only before the event’s published cutoff; no refunds are offered after that cutoff.
