Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon : 13th edition, Saturday 26 June 2027
The Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon is a coastal trail running event that follows sections of the Surf Coast Walk in Victoria, Australia. The route runs from Torquay to the Fairhaven Surf Lifesaving Club and passes notable coastal locations including Bells Beach, Point Addis, the clifftops at Anglesea and Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet. This is the 13th edition of the event.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 42 km marathon for solo runners or teams of two sharing the distance
- 21 km half marathon
- 8 km Urquhart’s Bluff Blast, with a bus included in the entry options
The course is described as relatively non-technical, non-remote and non-mountainous while still featuring coastal viewpoints and single track sections. Team marathon entries allow two runners to split the marathon distance roughly in half. Event services include race photography and a live band afterparty at the Aireys Pub in Aireys Inlet.
The event’s entry terms state no refunds after midnight 24 May 2027, with a prior full refund available less a $30 administration fee. Entries may be transferred to another runner. Information on course maps, GPX downloads and the event program is provided by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
