Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon
The Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon is the 12th edition of a coastal trail running event on 20 June 2026. The route follows the Surf Coast Walk from Torquay to Fairhaven on Victoria’s Surf Coast, about an hour south west of Melbourne. The course passes coastal landmarks including Bells Beach, the clifftops at Point Addis and Anglesea, and Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet.
The event offers multiple race formats and a short-course option. The marathon can be run solo or as a team of two with each runner covering roughly half the distance. The route is described as relatively non-technical, non-remote and non-mountainous, providing a transition from road running to trail running while still presenting coastal singletrack and viewpoints. The 8 km Urquhart’s Bluff Blast includes bus transport as part of the entry.
Logistics include team entries for two-person marathon teams and an event program with registration and bus services on event days. There is a post-event music and social gathering at the Aireys Pub following the runs. The event notes a refund policy with a final refund cutoff date and the option to transfer entries to another runner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
