Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon : event overview
The Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon is the 13th edition of a trail running event on Saturday 26 June 2027 that follows sections of the Surf Coast Walk between Torquay and the Fairhaven Surf Lifesaving Club on Victoria’s Surf Coast.
The event offers multiple race options:
- 42 km marathon (solo)
- 42 km team marathon (two runners, each runs roughly half the course)
- 21 km half marathon
- 8 km Urquhart’s Bluff Blast
The route passes coastal landmarks including Bells Beach, Point Addis, Anglesea and Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet. The course is described as relatively non-technical, non-remote, and non-mountainous, with coastal viewpoints and single-track sections. A live band afterparty takes place at the Aireys Pub.
Entry and administrative details noted in the event information include staged pricing periods for different entry dates, a bus-included option for the 8 km race, and an on-the-day entry allowance if not sold out. The organiser’s refund policy states a full refund less a $30 administration fee is available prior to midnight 24 May 2027; there are no refunds or deferrals after that date.
