Brooks Surf Coast Trail Marathon : event overview
The Surf Coast Trail Marathon is a coastal trail running event held on Saturday 26 June 2027 along the Surf Coast Walk in Victoria, Australia. The route runs from Torquay to the Fairhaven Surf Lifesaving Club and passes coastal landmarks including Bells Beach, Point Addis, Anglesea and the Split Point lighthouse at Aireys Inlet. The course is described as relatively non-technical, non-remote and non-mountainous while still offering coastal viewpoints and single-track sections.
Runners can enter solo or as part of a two-person team for the marathon distance. Entry options include:
- 42 km marathon solo or team of two (each runner covers roughly half)
- 21 km half marathon
- 8 km Urquhart’s Bluff Blast, ticketed entry includes bus transport
The event includes race photography and a post-race live band at the Aireys Pub. Entry pricing varies by period with early bird, regular and late tiers; the 8 km race has a strict 150 runner limit for on-the-day entries if not sold out. The organiser’s refund policy states no refunds or deferrals after midnight 24 May 2027, with full refund less a $30 admin fee offered before that date.
