Rip to River is a community running event organised by Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club in Ocean Grove, Victoria. The event includes several beach and coastal races that start from Ocean Grove Main Beach and Pt Lonsdale Beach. Races, logistics and entries
Distances on the program include:
- 10 km Classic Run
- 10 km Walk
- 5 km Beach Run
- 1.4 km Ripper Nipper
- 5 km Run combined with 1.4 km Ripper Nipper
Registration fees listed are: $50 for the 10 km run, 10 km walk, and 5 km run; $20 for the 1.4 km event; and $45 for the combined 5 km and 1.4 km package. Bibs must be collected at the designated surf life saving clubs either the evening before or on the morning of the event. A coach will return entrants to Pt Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club; this service is included in the entry fee and departs from Surf Beach Road. Bags may be labelled and left at Pt Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club for transfer to Ocean Grove Main Beach and collection from the BBQ tent, left at the entrant’s own risk.
