Rip to River is an event in Ocean Grove and Pt Lonsdale, Victoria. The event base is Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club and some races start at Pt Lonsdale Beach below the lighthouse. Registration, fees and logistics
Registration is open from Sept 30 to Dec 27. Entry fees listed are: $50 for the 10 km Run, $50 for the 10 km Walk, $50 for the 5 km Run, $20 for the 1.4 km Ripper Nipper, and $45 for the combined 5 km and 1.4 km entry. Discounts are available for those 17 and under for the 10 km and 5 km events.
Bibs can be collected on the evening of Dec 26 at Ocean Grove Surf Club or on the morning of the event from Ocean Grove (for the 5 km and Ripper Nipper) and from Pt Lonsdale Surf Club (for the 10 km events). A bus, covered by the entry fee, will return entrants to Pt Lonsdale SLSC from Ocean Grove Main Beach. Bags may be left at Pt Lonsdale SLSC and will be transported to Ocean Grove Main Beach for collection at the BBQ tent; storage is at entrants' own risk.
