Superhero 5K/10K Walk-Run-Roll & Summer Festival
San Andreas Regional Center hosts an annual Superhero 5K and 10K walk run roll and a free summer festival in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event welcomes people and organizations connected to autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental health, and other differing abilities. This edition marks the 10th year of the Superhero Summer Festival and the 5th year of the Walk Run Roll.
The 5K and 10K in San Jose are timed races and participants are encouraged to wear superhero gear. Registration for the 5K/10K has a fee of $50.00 per person; a code is available for a $10.00 discount on registration. The festival component is inclusive and free to the public.
Event features listed for the festival include community resources, face painting, photos with superheroes, food trucks, arts & crafts, festival games, a free backpack giveaway, multicultural activities, and entertainment by individuals with differing abilities.
