Jolly10k
The Jolly10k is a fundraising event held in Los Gatos, California. Now in its fifth year, the event serves as a platform for addiction and Fentanyl awareness while honoring the memory of loved ones lost to the epidemic. The fundraiser supports the Homes of a Loving Father Dream Center, a men's recovery home located in San Jose.
Participants can choose from two different trail distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The 10 km course is a 6.2 mile trail run that starts at the Balzer Field parking lot on Miles Avenue in Downtown Los Gatos. The route leads participants to the top of St. Joseph's Hill before descending via the Jones trail and returning along the original path. The course is clearly marked with signs, and organizers note that the route has changed from previous years to avoid the dam and the freeway.
In addition to the run and walk, the event features several community resource activities. Attendees can visit informational booths and resource tables to gather life saving education. The Los Gatos Fire Department participates in the event, including a group photo with a fire engine. Other activities on-site include CPR training, powerful testimonies, and raffle prizes. Food and fellowship are provided at the finish line for all attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
