Sunday Strides - Howard County Striders
Sunday Strides is a seasonal series of community road and trail races held at multiple locations around Howard County. Events are scheduled in winter (Operation Iceberg), spring (Vernal Velocity), and fall (Legends of the Fall). Distances vary by event and have included short and longer options across the season.

- 8k
Registration takes place on race day and is cash only with separate member and non-member fees: Individual and family pricing differs for Howard County Striders members and non-members. Course maps and venue names are provided for individual events.
Courses run on open roads and paths with course markings but may have few or no course marshals; course finding is the runner's responsibility. Water is available on longer courses. There are no bathroom facilities at these events. Participants run at their own risk; weekly events do not provide medical or police assistance. For safety, strollers, dogs, and headphones are not allowed.
Racers score points each race toward series awards. Point values range from 22 for first place down to 10 for 13th place and beyond, with volunteers earning point credits. Minimum series points to qualify for awards are calculated as the number of races minus one, multiplied by 10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
