Sunburst Races - South Bend, May 30, 2026
Sunburst Races offers multiple timed and non timed events that start and finish at the Century Center in South Bend. The program for 2026 includes the following event distances:
- Half marathon
- 10K run
- 5K run
- 5K fitness walk not timed
Age minimums apply: participants must be at least 6 years old for the 5K and 10K, and at least 10 years old for the half marathon. The 5K fitness walk permits strollers, joggers, wagons, and baby carriers; no bikes, scooters, skates, rollerblades, or similar items are allowed in any event for safety reasons.
Packet pickup options are provided the day before the race at the Century Center from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or by mail if selected during registration; the mailing option is available until May 8. On race morning, only bibs are guaranteed at the information tent.
The event includes a beer garden for attendees 21 and older with ID and a family fun zone with activities for children. Sunburst Races in 2026 marks the 42nd running. All race proceeds and donations benefit Beacon Children's Hospital. Participant fundraising is available through RunSignup. There are no refunds under any circumstances; race insurance is offered for purchase during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
