Saint Nick Six
Saint Joseph Grade School in South Bend hosts the Saint Nick Six on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The event uses South Bend’s east bank trail, sending participants north to Holy Cross College and back along the same route. Professional chip timing is provided for timed races.
Event options include:
- 6K Run: 3.72 miles
- 3K Run: 1.86 miles
- 3K Walk: 1.86 miles
- Run Run Rudolph: 60 yards
Participants in the timed runs receive a long sleeve tech shirt and a finisher medal; the 3K Walk includes a long sleeve tech shirt. Registration by Friday, November 15 guarantees a shirt. Awards for the 6K Run include overall male and female winners plus top male and female in each age category: 8 and younger, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. The 3K Run awards overall finishers and limited age groups: 8 and younger, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15+.
Organizers work with the City of South Bend on course conditions, which may be affected by weather. Pets are not allowed. Strollers are permitted only on the 3K Walk and should stay to the right to yield to runners. Volunteers receive a custom SN6 knit cap.
