The Sun Fun Color Run takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Sequim, Washington. The event is part of the Sequim Sunshine Festival and is staged at Carrie Blake Park (500 N. Blake Ave). It is the seventh annual edition and offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1K
Both the 5K and 1K use a mass start. The 1K course circles Carrie Blake Park. The 5K is an out-and-back on the Olympic Discovery Trail. The 5K is a timed race with age group awards; the 1K is not timed.
Logistics and what to expect
Entry includes a T-shirt, race bib, finisher medal, sunglasses, a buff, and a starting-line color blast bag. The 1K features three colors at three blast stations. The 5K includes five colors at eight blast stations. There will be one water station at the 5K turn-around; participants are advised to bring additional water if needed. Bib pickup is available Friday, March 6 at Barhop Brewing in Sequim (4:00 pm - 6:00 pm) and starting at 9:30 am on race day at Carrie Blake Park. There is parking at Carrie Blake Park with overflow at Olympic View Church of God and on nearby side roads. Strollers are allowed; animals are not. The color powder is described as corn starch and dye, non-toxic and free of heavy metals. Gear check is not provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
