The Sun Fun Color Run takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Carrie Blake Park in Sequim, WA. It is presented as part of the City of Sequim’s Sequim Sunshine Festival. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 1K
Both races use a mass start. The 1K course loops around Carrie Blake Park. The 5K is an out-and-back on the Olympic Discovery Trail. The 5K is a timed race with age-group awards and overall male and female awards; the 1K is not timed. The 1K includes three color themes and three color blast stations. The 5K includes five color themes and eight color blast stations. Entry includes a T-shirt, race bib, finisher medal, sunglasses, a Sun Fun Color Run buff, and a starting line color blast bag.
Logistics and race operations
Event parking is at Carrie Blake Park, with overflow at Olympic View Church of God (503 N. Brown Rd) and on side roads to the west of the park. Bib pickup is available Friday at Barhop Brewing in Sequim and on race day at Carrie Blake Park starting at 9:30 am. Swag may be collected before or after the race; the bottom tear-off from a bib is required to collect swag for another participant. There is no gear check.
Course signage will mark routes. There is one water station at the 5K turn-around. Strollers are allowed; animals are not. The color powder is described as cornstarch and dyes, certified non-toxic and free of heavy metals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
