Event overview
The Elwha Bridge Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Port Angeles, Washington. The race offers three event options:
- 5K
- 10K
- Virtual Elwha Bridge Run
The 5K and 10K are out-and-back courses on the Olympic Discovery Trail with the start/finish at the Lower Elwha Bridge (288 Crown Z Water Road, Port Angeles, WA 98363). Mile markers and large turnaround signs mark both distances. Volunteers will staff a water and Gatorade station at the 5K and 10K turnarounds. All participants receive official timed results and free professional race photos; results and photos will be available online after the race and can be accessed via the QR code on the race bib. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers for each race and to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in each age category; awards must be collected in person and will not be mailed.
Logistics and additional details
Bib pickup is available the day before at Angeles Brewing Supplies & Taproom and on race morning at the pedestrian (lower) Lower Elwha Bridge. There is no parking at the race start; participants may be dropped off at the west side of the bridge on Elwha River Road. Shuttle service is provided from Extreme Sports Park (2917 W. Edgewood Dr., Port Angeles); buses depart approximately every 15 minutes. Limited handicapped parking is available at the bottom of Crown Z Water Road off Elwha River Road. The Virtual event accepts registrations through July 31, 2026. Sponsors include Peninsula Daily News, Sequim Gazette, Olympic Medical Center and the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe.
