Summer Sunset Series
The Summer Sunset Series takes place along the Desjardins Recreation Trail in Hamilton, Ontario. The event is organized by The Runner's Den in partnership with Mizuno and runs on the waterfront trail.
The program features a timed 5 km event using an ankle timing chip. To keep event costs low, no shirt or medal is provided for 5K participants. A 1 km kids run is also offered; it is not timed and finishing children receive a medal.
Onsite offerings include demo shoes to try, draw prizes provided by Mizuno, and post-race refreshments for participants. Registration and chip pickup are available on race day adjacent to the start line.
Parking options include free street parking in the Westdale neighbourhood within walking distance, and paid onsite parking at RBG Cootes Paradise where unpaid vehicles may receive tickets. The 5 km route is an out-and-back course described as flat and situated along the waterfront trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
