Summer Sunset Series
The Summer Sunset Series takes place along the Desjardins Recreation Trail in Hamilton, Ontario, during summer 2026. The event is organized by The Runner's Den in partnership with Mizuno and uses the waterfront trail for its courses.
The program includes a 1 km kids run and a 5 km out-and-back course along the waterfront. The 5 km is a timed event using an ankle chip for individual chip times. The 1 km kids run is not timed and finishing children receive medals. To keep costs low, the 5 km does not include a shirt or medal.
On-site features include demo shoes available from the partner, draw prizes for participants, and post-race refreshments. Registration and chip pick-up are available on race day. Multi-race bundles are offered for participants who register for more than one date.
Parking options are free street parking in the Westdale neighbourhood and paid parking at RBG Cootes Paradise; unpaid parking at Cootes Paradise may result in tickets.
