Downhill Dash 5km
The event is a 5 km run held at Corktown Park, Ferguson Avenue South, Hamilton, Ontario, on July 19, 2026. The course is described as slightly downhill, tree covered, and traffic free for the entire 5 km.
Organizers provide a Strava elevation map and a course certification by a former race winner. Shared data indicate that runners are on average 45 to 60 seconds faster on this course compared with other 5 km courses.
Runners are transported by bus to the start line. The event uses chip timing. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in ten year age groups from 14 and under to 70 and over.
