The dowhnill dash is a 5 km event held at Corktown Park, Ferguson Avenue South, Hamilton, ON, Canada on July 19, 2026. The course is slightly downhill, tree covered and traffic free for the full 5 km. A Strava elevation map is provided and the course is certified.
Runners are transported to the start line by bus. Chip timing is provided by TIMING SHACK. Custom finisher medals are awarded to all finishers.
Prizes are given to the top three overall male and female runners and to the top three in 10 year age groups from 14 and under through 70 and over. Hot food and drinks are available after the race, followed by the awards ceremony. Draw prizes are also offered for participants.
This race is number three in the Hausers Pharmacy Hamilton Running Series. Points are allocated 3 2 1 in the age groups and overall divisions and are added at the final race of the series. The series schedule lists Spring Fling 5 km on March 28, Mothers Day 5 km on May 9, Downhill Dash 5 km on July 19, Crazy 8's Downhill 8 km on September 13 and Doughnut Dash 5 km on November 15.
