About the race
Summer Slushee 5K (2027) is presented as a five-kilometre road event. A prior edition took place at Veterans Pier in Brooklyn.
Registration is not yet open; the organizer offers a notification option so prospective participants can be informed when registration opens. Registration will open ahead of the event date.
Event amenities listed for recent editions include live online, text, and email results; free same-day finish line photos and video; and a complimentary Kona Ice for registrants. Registered participants who sign up at least three weeks in advance receive a personalized bib. The first 125 registrants receive a Slushee Tee and the first 150 finishers receive a finisher medal.
Awards note a customized wooden award for the overall top place and age-group awards for top finishers in the following categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 and over, with top 1 awards for male, female, and nonbinary categories.
Bib pickup is handled starting one hour before the event by event staff; a bib number is required for pickup and can be found via Self Lookup or Bib Lookup. Last-minute registrants who register within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
