Summer Sizzler - Greater Houston
The Summer Sizzler takes place on August 28, 2027 at Oyster Creek Park, 4033 State Highway 6 South, Sugar Land, TX 77479. The event comprises multiple in-person race distances, a virtual race option, and a volunteer-and-run option.
- 50 m Kids Dash for ages 10 and under, untimed.
- 1 Mile untimed.
- 5K 3.1 miles.
- 10K 6.2 miles.
- 15K 9.32 miles.
- Virtual Race run anywhere.
- Volunteer and Run combine volunteering with running any distance.
Race registration opens October 1, 2026. Registration for the 5K, 10K, and 15K closes May 25, 2027; registration for other options closes August 28, 2027. Listed registration fees include examples by event: 5K/10K/15K $33, 1 Mile $22, Kids Dash $17, Virtual Race $42, Volunteer and Run $17. Youth pricing for the 5K and 10K is $17 for ages 12 and under.
Registered participants for the 5K, 10K, and 15K receive a custom bib, designer shirt, and custom finisher medal. The 1 Mile registration is untimed and includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal. The Kids Dash registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a dedicated kids medal; children may run the kids dash on race day without receiving swag.
Event amenities include chip timing with live results and awards, free photos, post-race treats, and Kona Ice. Team refunds are applied to all team members: $5 refunded once four people register, and an additional $5 refunded once ten people register for a total of $10.
