Event features, format and policies
Timed races use chip timing with live results and awards. Registration for the 5k/10k/15K includes a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are untimed; the Kids Dash entry includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specific medal. Youth pricing for the 5k/10k for ages 12 and under is listed at $17.
Age-group awards for the 5k/10k/15K include male and female overall, male and female masters (40+), and top-three male and female in standard age brackets from 10 & under through 80+. Kid's Dash, 1 Mile, and Virtual events are untimed and do not qualify for age-group awards.
Course materials include a 5k map, a 10k described as a double out-and-back, and a 15K described as a triple out-and-back; courses may change due to permit or volunteer restrictions. Packet pickup is available on race day starting one and a half hours before the race. Results and awards are available at the registration tent immediately after participants finish.
The virtual event allows participants to run at any location or time; virtual registration includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping of the packet (packets ship the Wednesday after the race). The organizer has a no-refund policy; events proceed in most weather and will cancel only for venue requirements or dangerous ice hazards, with cancellations converted to virtual entries when needed.
Volunteer rewards include free future race entry(s) or a $20 gift card option; extra shirts may be available after packet pickup. The event offers free photos and on-course refreshments, including Kona Ice at the finish.
