About the race
Summer Nights is a self-navigation trail race organized by Essex Trail Events, taking place at The Wheatsheaf in Hatfield Peverel, Essex. Scheduled for July 23, 2025, the race covers approximately 6 miles on a new route. Participants receive a written route description on the day, with no course markings, marshals, or GPS support, making navigation a key challenge.
The event is not a mass start; runners choose staggered start times between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. Entry fees are £7 for affiliated runners and £9 for unaffiliated, including a £3 pub voucher. The race headquarters is at the pub, and results will be posted online.
