Colne Valley Path Marathon
The event is a self-navigation marathon that follows the Colne Valley Path. The route passes through Great Yeldham and the area known as the mighty oak, and finishes on the Cymbeline meadows in Colchester. The listed venue is Stambourne Village Hall, Church Road, Stambourne CO9 4NP.
Navigation is by GPX file on a device or by written instructions. These navigation files or instructions will be available for download when finalised nearer to the event. The organiser will provide fully stocked aid stations and checkpoints at regular intervals of approximately 10 km along the route.
The event is cupless, so participants must provide their own cup for drinks. Collapsible speedcups are available to purchase during registration or on event day for £2.50 each. A shuttle will run before the race to transport participants to the start so they can park at the finish; this shuttle must be selected and purchased during registration.
Entry options allow participants to decline a medal to reduce the entry fee. If a medal is requested it must be selected and paid for at registration; additional medals will not be issued on race day unless there are leftovers. Parking and toilets are available at both the start and the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
