Muntjac 15
The Muntjac 15 takes place on 30/08/2026 around Danbury and links five different woodland areas. The route covers 15 miles with around 1600 ft+ of ascent and includes steep ascents, winding downhills and technical singletrack sections. All finishers receive a quality memento.
The course will be fully marked and a GPX file is available for those who wish to familiarise themselves beforehand. There is one checkpoint roughly halfway that will be well stocked and include vegan options; additional dietary needs can be noted on the entry form. Participants are not required to carry mandatory kit, though carrying a mobile phone with the event HQ number stored is suggested.
Prizes include locally made bespoke trophies and cash awards in the open category: £50 for the winner, £25 for second place and £15 for third place. A £100 bonus is offered for a new course record. A marked Strava segment of about 1 km on the course carries a separate prize for the fastest male and female, with eligibility restrictions for podium finishers; winners are announced the following day on social media.
Practical arrangements on race day include ample free parking on site and a secure bag drop. The event is cupless; crewing and pacing are not allowed. Participants are asked to respect other footpath users and to keep any rubbish with them. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
