NYCRUNS Summer Loving 5K & 10K
NYCRUNS holds two certified road races in Flushing Meadows Corona Park: a 5K and a 10K. Both courses are USATF certified and pass notable park features such as the Unisphere and finish near the Fountain of the Planets.
The Festival Area is the event hub for bib and shirt pickup, bag check, restrooms, and post-race refreshments including water, Gatorade, bagels, pretzels, and apples. Bag check requires a single clear bag provided if needed (18" x 24"); items may be searched for security. Participant shirts are distributed only on race day and sizes are not guaranteed.
Start corrals use a pace-based letter system from AA to F. Corral assignment is taken from the runner profile pace in the NYCRUNS dashboard. Bib pickup requires a unique QR code; NYCRUNS members may receive mailed bibs at no additional cost. Non-members can pay an extra fee to mail a bib. Bibs mailed only to U.S. addresses when registration meets the organizer timing requirement.
Travel notes: mass transit is recommended. The 7 train or LIRR to Mets-Willets Point provides a short walk to the Festival Area. Parking is limited and a suggested drop-off point is 31 Meridian Rd., Corona.
The event notes specific policies: no refunds or transfers, strollers and dogs are not permitted, earbuds that hinder awareness may lead to disqualification, confetti cannons are forbidden, and the race enforces time limits. Awards are given for overall and age group top finishers, with divisions for male, female, and non-binary competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
