CRF Full Steam Ahead 5K
The event is a 5K walk and run held on June 13, 2026 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The meeting point is across the street from Lloyd’s Carrot Cake at 6087 Broadway, near the intersection of 251st Street and Broadway; look for the turtle and rabbit statue.
The event is organized to raise awareness of D.I.P.G., a rare, inoperable pediatric brain tumor, and to fund related research and support. The Cristian Rivera Foundation reports it has contributed more than $4 million to research, clinical trials, and direct support for affected children and their families. The foundation states that before its efforts there were no survivors and that subsequent partnership trials have produced survivors.
Participants may join as individuals or as part of a team. The organizer indicates that 100% of funds raised at this event will be allocated to research, clinical trials, direct family support, and awareness efforts.
