Summer in Disguise Charity Fun Run/Walk
Summer in Disguise is a charity fun run and walk taking place on July 11, 2026 at Michigan Beach Park Pavilion, 95 N Grant Street, Charlevoix, MI 49720. The event is family oriented and raises funds for Safe Haven Ministries CHX, a local nonprofit serving Charlevoix through free bi-weekly breakfasts, a summer feeding program, school supply distribution, and an emergency men's winter shelter.
Entry fees are listed as $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes or create original costumes; carrying a light saber or wearing a cape are given as examples. Participation without a costume is also allowed.
The route begins and ends near the pavilion at Michigan Beach, runs along Park Avenue and Lakeshore Drive, then returns along the same route. Signs will mark the 3K and 5K turn around spots.
The event will proceed rain or shine. Strollers and leashed non-aggressive pets are encouraged. Parking is free. Water and small snacks will be provided at the end of the race. Swag bags are available for the first 30 adults who sign up and for children while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
