Dandelion Dash Trail 5K, 1 Mile, and Short Family Fun Run
The event takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 in Petoskey, Michigan at 801 Northmen Dr. It features on-site and virtual options and uses meadow trails that are mostly flat with gentle rolling hills.

The 5K is professionally timed. The 1-mile run uses a running clock and is not officially timed. Top finishers and age group winners receive custom wooden medals for the 5K; children completing the Family Fun Run receive finisher ribbons. Swag bags vary by event and may include a race T-shirt (must be registered by May 6 to receive a shirt), a vinyl sticker, and a native seed packet; the Family Fun Run bag includes a sticker and temporary tattoo. The virtual 5K includes the same swag items; shipping charges apply.
Packet pickup is available Friday, May 15 at Petoskey Children's Nature Preschool and at the event. Parking is at the Petoskey Middle School parking lot. Children under 12 must be supervised. Trail-appropriate strollers are allowed for the Family Fun Run only. Dogs are not allowed. Participants 2 and under are free through May 13.
