Sugar River Triathlon
The Sugar River Triathlon is the sixth race in the Wisconsin Triathlon Series, held in Belleville, Wisconsin. The event takes place at Belleville Community Park and offers participants a multi-sport course through the local landscape. The triathlon is available for both individual participants and relay teams.
The event follows a sprint distance format consisting of three distinct segments:
- Swim (1/4 mile): Conducted in the waters of Lake Belle View.
- Bike (16 miles): A cycling leg that travels through a course featuring rolling hills.
- Run (5 km): A final leg that utilizes gravel trails and quiet neighborhood streets.
Participants receive several items as part of their entry, including a wave-specific colored swim cap, a unisex race t-shirt, and a finisher medal. The event provides professional race timing and complimentary digital race photos. Food is provided for athletes at the finish area.
The race is part of a larger seven-race series taking place across the state during the spring and summer months. Other events in the series may offer different distances, but the Sugar River Triathlon specifically focuses on the sprint distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
