Freeze For Food
Freeze for Food is the 46th annual community 5K/10K run and walk held on March 6, 2027 at the Vilas Park Shelter, 1602 Vilas Park Drive, Madison, WI. The event includes multiple race entries and a concurrent food drive to support local food security efforts. The event lists a partnership with Open Doors for Refugees.

Registration opens November 1, 2026 and closes February 1, 2027. Listed fees are $25 for the 5K, $25 for the 10K, and $40 for the combined 5K and 10K entry. Early bib pickup is available at Movin' Shoes, 528 S Park St, Madison, with race-day bib pickup at the Vilas Park Shelter at the pre-registered bib pickup table.
The event organizes a food drive; requested items include non-perishable pantry items and clean plastic, paper, or cloth grocery bags.
