Sugar Mill Jingle Bell Dash 5K Run/Walk
The event is the 5th Annual Sugar Mill Jingle Bell Dash 5K Run/Walk held at the Sugar Mill Clubhouse parking lot in Johns Creek, Georgia (7095 Sweet Creek Road, 30097). It is organized to raise funds for Special K's, an agency under Special Olympics Georgia.
Special K's serves more than 150 athletes with disabilities, participates in 13 different sports, and does not receive operating funds from Special Olympics Georgia or Fulton County. All proceeds from the event support Special K's, a nonprofit organization recognized under IRS Code 501(c)(3), and contributions may be tax deductible.
Registration opens on July 31 and closes on October 15. The registration fee is $25 per person until October 15 and increases to $30 afterward. Dogs on leashes are welcome to participate.
Participants are invited to wear holiday attire; awards will be given for Best Individual and Best Team holiday costumes. The event will also include an awards presentation and a raffle featuring gift certificates from local businesses, with individual prizes up to $100 each.
Package pick-up is available the day before the event at the Sugar Mill Clubhouse, on Friday, December 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
