Event overview
The Students of Scripture Race Team is organizing the 2nd Annual Students of Scriptures 5K - Race of Champions on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Vista View Park, 4001 SW 142nd Ave, Davie, FL 33330. The event program includes the following races:
- 5K
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- Shopping Cart Race (relay format)
The 5K course is 3.1 miles (5K) and is described as flat with partial shade. Registration fee for listed events is $45. The regular price increases after November 30, 2025. The virtual event notes team entries.
A lead vehicle will record the race leader and broadcast to social media and to a large monitor at the finish area. The event also includes a national anthem, a pre-race prayer, and an awards ceremony.
Awards and Shopping Cart Race details
Awards are given in 50 categories, including Senior Grandmasters, Grandmasters, Masters, Athena, Clydesdale, Running with Dog, and Running with Stroller. Cash prizes totaling U$ 3,250 will be shared among 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female Overall and among Senior Grandmasters, Grandmasters, and Masters. An additional U$ 200 will be shared for a new male and female event record (current listed records: Female 20:53.39; Male 16:01.35). Custom finisher medals and multiple trophies and shirts are listed.
The Shopping Cart Race is a 200-meter relay (50 meters per runner) for 4-runner teams (1 male, 1 female, 1 male teen, 1 female teen). Only 20 teams may register; places are first come, first serve. First, second, and third place teams receive the groceries in their cart plus trophies; other carts may be donated to a listed institution.
