Strides for Education 5K

Strides for Education is scheduled for 02/06/2027 on the Florida SouthWestern State College campus in Fort Myers, FL. The event is organized by the Fort Myers Track Club.

Due to 2026 construction on campus the 5K course will be 2.75 miles (versus 3.1 miles). The course includes a shaded tour of the campus. Race bibs with chips are used to record accurate race times.

Kids Run (100 m, free; held after the 5K)

Registration opens 8/25/2026 and closes 2/5/2027. The registration fee for the 5K is $30.00. The kids run is free. Children entered in the 5K must be registered through the 5K registration option rather than the kids run option.

Proceeds from the 5K support the Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program. That program provides mentoring and incentives and offers scholarship opportunities to low-income students of Lee County; with donor support, over 800 Lee County children have earned scholarships.
