4th Annual Rockin Around the Bell Tower
The Rockin Around the Bell Tower returns for its fourth year at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. This Christmas-themed event features a course decorated for the holiday season with music and festive displays. The event is open to runners, walkers, and participants with strollers.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K chip-timed race
- 1 Mile fun run and walk
All registered participants receive event-specific items, including a fleece blanket, a Santa hat, and a commemorative finisher medal designed as a Christmas ornament. After completing the course, attendees can access post-race refreshments such as coffee, cotton candy, and popcorn.
The event includes a competitive component with awards for the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are provided based on net chip time for various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 75 and older.
The occasion also serves as a toy drive for the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Participants are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to support the hospital's Child Life Program. Following the athletic events, a breakfast with Santa is held at the local Dave & Buster’s. Packet pickup is organized at the Fleet Feet location within the shopping center on the day before and the morning of the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
