About the race
Strides for Community Summer 5K Series 2027 is a free community 5K race series held at Blydenburgh County Park Campground Playground in Smithtown, NY. The series runs through the summer and is intended to keep families and individuals active by removing financial barriers and offering recurring, accessible events. Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the series dates.
The event operates rain or shine. On-site services include bib pickup managed by event staff; last-minute registrants (within 24 hours) can receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds. Results and media are provided live and via text and email, with free finish-line photos, free video, and same-day finish-line pictures available.
Age-group recognition is offered for top finishers in female, male, and X categories across multiple age brackets: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, and 90+.
