Striders Dismal Swamp 5 Miler and Kid's 1 Mile - Chesapeake, VA
The event is part of the Tidewater Strider Spring Festival and takes place at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, Rest Stop at Mile Post 4, 1246 Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, Chesapeake, VA 23322.

Course details describe the 5 mile as a 2.5 mile out and 2.5 mile back route on the closed two lane roadway at Dismal Swamp Trail Park. The kids one miler is a 0.5 mile out and back on the same trail. One aid station with water will be located at the 2.5 mile turnaround.
Packet pickup is available early at Point 2 Running Company in Chesapeake on Friday, April 24 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, with additional race morning pickup at the parking lot near the starting line beginning at 7:00 am. Registration notes include a club membership discount and registration closing the evening before the event.
Amenities listed include event T shirts, onsite hospitality and refreshments, and a custom finisher medal for all finishers. Awards for the 5 mile include top three overall male and female and top three in 10 year age groups. The one mile awards include top three overall male and female and age group awards for children.
