The Tacky Sweater 5K is a holiday-themed running event held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 5K Run/Walk Virtual. The race supports EVMS Dermatology and the Dermatology Student Group.

Course and location
The race starts and finishes in front of Smartmouth Brewery at 1309 Raleigh Ave in the Chelsea District of Norfolk. The course loops through West Ghent and Plum Point Park and uses sections of the Elizabeth River Trail, including passage over the Mid-Town Tunnel.
Registration, packet pickup and fees
Early packet pickup and on-site registration are available at Smartmouth Brewery the evening before the race (packet pickup window listed as 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM). Packet pickup and race day registration are available onsite beginning at 8:00 AM. The event listing shows registration fees that increase closer to the race, with example amounts of $35 (regular), $40 (late), and $45 (race day).
Awards, teams and post-race activities
All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three in each age group, and top competitive walkers. Special prizes are awarded for top tacky sweaters. Teams can compete for awards such as Largest Team and Fastest Team by cumulative times. A post-race party at Smartmouth Brewery will include food, entertainment, awards, giveaways, and a tacky sweater contest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
