The Suncoast STARS Community 2nd Annual Stride to Thrive is a fundraising walk/run set for Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Sarasota, FL. The event includes the following distances:

- Virtual Stride to Thrive
The in-person events have an entry fee listed as $35 and the virtual option is listed as $20. Children 10 and under are free for the 1 mile walk when using the specified coupon.
Courses and race day
The 5k is a loop that starts and finishes at the Grace Community Church campus parking lot and follows Communications Pkwy, around Professional Pkwy to Lakewood Ranch Blvd N, returning to the church. The 1 mile course is a paved path accessible to wheelchairs and strollers; it departs from the church parking lot, follows Communications Pkwy to a half-mile turnaround, and returns to the church. Packet pick-up is available at Grace Community Church the Thursday before the event and on race day. Following the run and walk, a Family Fun Fest on site will feature food trucks, bounce houses, music, face painters, a vendor village, nonprofit booths, a batting cage activity, and a silent auction.

Suncoast STARS Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event benefits the organization’s Work & Enrichment Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
