Wellen Park Half Marathon & 5K presented by Hotwire Communications
The Wellen Park Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Downtown Wellen Park, Venice, Florida, with the event base at Solis Hall, 19745 Wellen Park Blvd. The event offers two distances:
- 13.1 Miles Half Marathon
- 3.1 Miles 5K
A portion of race proceeds and participant donations benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast. Registration opens July 5, 2026 and closes August 5, 2026. Registration fees are listed as $65.00 for the half marathon and $25.00 for the 5K. All RunSignUp running clubs receive an automatic $5.00 discount at checkout; local non RunSignUp running clubs can request a $5.00 discount from the organizer.
There is race day packet pickup and race day registration. Parking is available throughout the downtown Wellen Park area. Walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs are permitted; dogs must be well behaved, on a leash no longer than 6 feet that is not retractable, and participants must clean up after their pets. Race officials may remove any animal that appears aggressive.
The event includes post race food and beverages and awards ceremonies for each distance based on official finish times. The organizer’s refund policy states there are no refunds; registration insurance is recommended at checkout for those who expect a possible scheduling conflict.
