Strathearn Marathon
The Strathearn Marathon is a summer road marathon held in Perthshire, starting and finishing at Cultybraggan Camp near Comrie. The 2026 race will take place on Sunday 14th June. The measured course includes about 500 metres of total ascent and uses quiet local roads through the Strathearn area.
After a lap of the camp, the route goes initially south west up Glen Artney, then turns east and south on the B827 towards Braco, reaching a height of nearly 800 ft. Just after the 10 mile mark the course follows the A822 north for a short stretch, then continues along the line of an old Roman road and onto quiet back roads into the southern edges of Crieff. At 18.5 miles the route turns west along the South Crieff Road to Comrie before returning to Cultybraggan.
The event is organised and managed by club runners and volunteers with assistance from the Comrie Development Trust, owners of Cultybraggan Camp. Race services include chip timing, water stations, full medical cover and an officially measured course that can serve as a London Marathon qualifier. Additional features listed by the organisers are a range of prizes, food and refreshments, a memento for finishers and free car parking.
