Brig Bash 2026
The Brig Bash is an evening five mile road race held to the south of Perth. The 2026 edition, the 27th running, is scheduled for Wednesday 1 July 2026. The course is AUKCM distance certified and largely on tarmac, with under 25 metres of total climbing and much of the route on quiet country roads.
Entry is via Entry Central and there are 320 places available in 2026. There are no on the night entries and the minimum age for competitors is 16. Entry fees for 2026 are £17 for Scottish Athletics members and £20 for non members. The organisers have introduced traffic calming on a 1 km section of the course under a TTRO with police enforcement; the associated costs contribute to the increased entry fee.
The race is licensed by Scottish Athletics and first aid provision is supplied for the event. Prizes are awarded for overall places, a first non binary finisher prize, team prizes and age category prizes subject to minimum entry numbers for cash awards. Course record prizes are available and the all comers course records stand at 23:30 for men (2023) and 27:30 for women (2014).
The event includes an after race buffet with variable contents and has traditionally attracted a wide range of club runners. The Brig Bash Mile contest will not be held in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
