Event Information
The Brig Bash 5 is a five-mile road race held on a summer evening. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st. The event is licensed by Scottish Athletics.
Course Details
The course is a certified five-mile distance, all on tarmac roads. It is fast and flat with less than 25 meters of climbing and uses quiet country roads to the south of Perth.
Race Details
Entries are managed via Entry Central. There are no entries available on the race day. In 2025, 330 places were available and the race sold out in 43 minutes. The minimum entry age is 16.
Prizes are awarded for the top three male and female finishers, the first non-binary finisher, and the first male and female teams. Age category prizes are available for Under 20, Vet (40-49), Supervet (50-59), Master Vet (60-69), and Vintage Vet (70+) categories. Separate prizes are awarded for breaking the overall course records or the "Brig Bash Mile" (fastest first mile) records.
Refreshments, referred to as an after-race buffet, are provided. In 2025, event sponsors included Taylors Snacks, Tunnock's, and John’s Scone Mad.
