Milnathort Dash 2026
The Milnathort Dash takes place on 25 June 2026 and is organised by Kinross Road Runners. It is an annual short distance race that covers just over 5 miles and is described as a run of two halves. The course is mostly on road with a short section on farm track, begins with a notable hill and has a largely downhill second half.
The event is open to all runners aged 16 or over on the day of the race. The entry process requires an Entry Central account and the field is limited to 200 places. Entries may be transferred to another person until entries close on 1 June. No refunds or deferrals are available.
The race is held under UK Athletics rules and carries a Scottish Athletics permit. Registration takes place at Orwell church hall in Milnathort and competitors may need to show identification to collect race numbers.
For safety the route is waymarked and supported by volunteer marshals. Headphones or similar devices are not allowed unless medically prescribed; bone conductor devices are permitted. All runners must write emergency contact details on the back of their number and display their number on the front of their shirt while running. Prize categories include awards for overall placings and a King and Queen of the hill for the first male and female to the top of the first hill. There is an option to make a voluntary donation to Kinross Community First Responders at entry.
Facilities are limited to a small number of toilets before the race and there are no changing rooms at registration. Public road parking is available but limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
