Event overview
Storm the Park is a trail race held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Whitewater State Park in Altura, Minnesota. The event is organized by The Storm Trail Race Series and Storm Sporting Events. It is the first race in the 2026 Storm Trail Race Series. The hosting organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on promoting health and wellness and raising funds and awareness for youth mental health programs and scholarships.

The 15K course follows and crosses the Whitewater River and includes views of the river, meadows, and surrounding bluffs. The 30K consists of two loops of the 15K course. The 50K uses an extended 16.6K loop that reaches Coyote Point and is run three times to reach the 50K distance. The 5K route climbs to Chimney Rock and Inspiration Point and returns to the Whitewater River.
Registration and other details
Race shirts are available for purchase during registration for $20; the shirt order deadline is Saturday, March 15, 2026, with a limited number of select sizes for sale on race day on a first-come, first-served basis.
