Fools Five Road Race
The Fools Five Road Race is presented as Minnesota's oldest road race for cancer research. The event includes an 8k race and an associated auction night. For 2027, the auction night is scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2027 and race day is scheduled for Saturday, April 3, 2027.
The event reports fundraising totals that include more than $39,000 raised for a local cancer support group and more than $115,000 raised for cancer research. Donations from the event have been directed to institutions named as beneficiaries, including Mayo Clinic, The Hormel Institute, the Masonic Cancer Center, and Gundersen Health System.
Results and historical records are maintained for the race; published results include 2026 8k results and other past 8k results. Photographs from past editions are collected in event photo galleries. The event program therefore combines a competitive road race element with fundraising activities and an auction component, and it records and shares results and images from past years.
