Stony Mountain Vineyard 5K
The Stony Mountain Vineyard 5K is an inaugural 5-kilometer walk and run held at Stony Mountain Vineyard in Albemarle, North Carolina on May 15, 2027. The event is capped at 200 runners and has a registration fee of $35.
The course is an out and back route that runs through rolling hills with vineyard and mountain views. The route includes several hills and is suitable for walkers and runners. Strollers, dogs, and children are allowed on the course.
Post-race provisions differ by age. Participants 21 and over receive free wine tasting and a commemorative wine glass. Participants under 21 are offered non-alcoholic drinks. The event is manually timed by Out & Back Timing and will not use chip timing.
Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and over. The event is rain or shine and there are no refunds. All proceeds benefit the Uwharrie Brewing Running Club. The race is sponsored by Stony Mountain Vineyard.
