Stony Mountain Vineyard 5K : Albemarle, NC
The inaugural Stony Mountain Vineyard 5K is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at Stony Mountain Vineyard, 26370 Mountain Ridge Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001. The event is a 5K run or walk held on an out and back course that passes through vineyard and mountain scenery and includes several hills. Strollers, dogs, and children are welcome.
Field size is capped at 150 participants. Registration options include a no shirt entry for $15 and an entry with a commemorative shirt for $35. Registration opens February 10, 2026 and closes March 31, 2026. The event will run rain or shine and the organizer states there are no refunds.
Timing will be manual rather than chip based; results are handled by Out & Back Timing. Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in each listed age group: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and over.
Participants aged 21 and over receive a complimentary wine tasting and a commemorative wine glass as part of the post race offerings. Non alcoholic drinks will be available for participants under 21. Proceeds from the event benefit the Uwharrie Brewing Running Club. The vineyard is listed as the event sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
