Event
The Locust Elfie 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Locust, North Carolina. The event distance is 5K. The course is described as fast and flat-ish and runs through the Locust Town Center and surrounding neighborhood. The race is presented with a Christmas theme; participants are encouraged to wear Christmas attire and prizes are planned for the best dressed "Elfie."

Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, December 6 at the West Stanly Senior Center in the Locust Town Center; pickup is also available on race day. The listed event price is $35 and registration closes on December 6, 2025. Early-bird registration is $20 until March 23 and the first 100 registrants receive a pair of Christmas/Elfie socks. The course will be marked and course communication will be available. Overall awards will be given to the top three males and top three females. Age-group awards for both male and female categories are: 10 & under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 plus.
